Lots of Product Launches And Lots Of Poor Marketers

It would seem that a new over hyped marketing product is launched in to my inbox every day with promise of bringing me incredible online success. Each time, the gurus and their affiliate friends get marketers like you and I to give them cash in exchange for the promise of the ultimate money making product!

Yet all the time we are told by the very same gurus who promote all of these products, that only a very small minority of marketers actually make any decent money.

Somewhere things just don't add up!

Everyday we get emails promising us the tools to make us rich, yet very few people get rich! Does this mean that all of these products are a waste of money? I guess so! What I do know is that it means the rich gurus with the biggest lists keep getting richer peddling variations of each others products!

What I have come to believe from experience is that people fail to get rich for one of a number of reasons.

Often the launches hype products that claim big results. The screenshots are usually a result of having big lists or high profile joint ventures that "newbies" just don't have access to. Or following big launches, the number of people competing to use the tactic promoted in the product, make it ineffective. Or the effectiveness of the product or system is greatly reduced by a tweak to the rules by the search engines. These are all reasons why people don't get rich from the products they buy.

Now not all products are rubbish. But to produce decent results, the ones that promote methods that do work, often require one of two things; time or money!

Yet all too often in online marketing, the wannabe newbies just don't have the focus or patience to apply any one strategy for any length of time, they simply give up if it fails to make them rich in the first few days! Or if they do apply a strategy, they do it on a very small scale, instead of spending money on automation or outsourcing in order to scale up their returns. Internet marketing is the only business I know in which participants really expect to become millionaires without making a significant investment!

So what are the lessons we all need to learn?

Well the main lesson to learn is to kill most of your email subscriptions and to simply ignore the really hyped products! Save your money, avoid wasting your time, and channel these saved resources in to mastering one or two of the marketing strategies that have been proven to work over time.

Once you find a strategy that works, don't deviate from it, stay focused and repeat. The only money you should part with is on products and services that help to automate or outsource tasks that form part of your strategy, so that you can scale up and repeat the process quickly!

In summary, take the basic online marketing strategies that work over time, and focus your resources on accelerating your results from that strategy!

eBay Selling Made Easy

ensquehere are loads of different tips for selling on eBay floating around the internet today. It seems as if everyone who is anyone wants to sell on eBay. If you want to start selling on eBay then there are some tips which can make eBay selling much easier and less stressful.

There is a ton of information available on the internet explaining how you can be a good eBay seller. Some of it is much more important than others which is why you carefully need to prioritise what you need to do.

Bad Feedback

You need to do everything that you possibly can to avoid getting any bad feedback. Your customers will be able to rate their experience with you and give you a review. You need to treat the customer very well to avoid the possibility of getting any bad feedback.

You will not be able to please everyone and so some negative feedback is understandable. However you need to minimise this as much as possible. If you find that you have too much negative feedback then you might not be able to sell anything anymore. This might mean that you will have to sign up for another account.

eBay Selling

When you are interested in eBay selling there are some things that you should bear in mind. You need to carefully create your listings so that they are interesting to potential buyers. You need to make them stand out but they must also be professional too. There are plenty of templates available on the internet to help you do this properly. It's vital that you carefully chose the category that your listing goes into because this will have a major impact on the number of people that can actually find your listing.

Choosing the title

You must make sure that you carefully think about the title that you want for your auction. You should come up with some keywords that people will search for when trying to find similar items to what you are selling. These keywords must be incorporated into the title.

Most people will search for items by using the search item box and then narrowing down the options by selecting the categories down the side of the screen. That's why it's so important to ensure that your title is informative and contains the necessary keywords.

Type of listing

You will then need to decide on the format of the listing that you want to add to eBay. You can either list the item with a fixed price or as an auction. You can also create an auction which has a set buy it now price.

Which format you want to use is completely up to you. You might like to try some different techniques out to see what works best in your case.

Postage

One thing that buyers get really annoyed at is when you charge high postage fees. You should charge a realistic fee to make sure that people will buy from you. If your prices are very low but you have massive postage fees then people are going to get annoyed with you.

Make sure you know how much it will cost to post everything so that you can put in accurate costs. This way you can maximise your profits without upsetting your customers.

eBay selling doesn't have to be difficult now you know what you are doing.

Newly Launched RentCharlie.com Helps Consumers Save Time, Money and the Environment

Aenting as opposed to purchasing seldom used products has a very positive impact on our wallets and environment. Now, thanks to newly created RentCharlie.com, consumers can rent the “stuff” they need rather than buy it.

July 16, 2009 – At one time or another, most people have rented a car or rented a hotel room. But now, courtesy of the new website RentCharlie.com, consumers can rent just about anything, from tools and equipment to property and party supplies.

If you don’t need to buy it, rent it! Thanks to the new 100 percent free website, users save money and space while lessening the impact of production, distribution and product marketing on the environment. In today’s economy, businesses and the general public are looking for ways to save. We are all more conscience of not only our bank account balances, but also saving ourselves time and space whilst trying to best limit our environmental footprint. Surprisingly, making slight changes – like renting over purchasing – can help address these issues and dramatically change the way we live and spend our hard earned dollars.

Renting Saves Money

When considering the cost of a new drill ($59-$159) compared to the cost of renting one ($5-$10 a day), it makes fiscal sense to rent. As a society, we accumulate unnecessary “stuff” constantly when, especially during times of recession, there is money to be saved through renting. Dr. Frank Shaw, Foresight Director at the Centre for Future Studies says the catalyst is the current financial turmoil, but the implications will be more far reaching, extending well beyond the recession.

“We are witnessing the beginnings of a mega shift towards the Rental Society in which the unsustainable growth in production and consumption will be reversed,” he affirms. “The disposable mentality’ will give way to efficient use and this will serve to reduce the adverse impacts on the environment.”

Renting Saves Space

It’s usually during spring cleaning when one notices all the “stuff” piling in garages and basements. Some have so much “stuff” that they have to put some of it in storage. Alexandria, Virginia-based Self Storage Association (SSA) indicates that the number of primary self storage facilities in the United States has nearly doubled since 2000. At the end of 2006, more than 51,000 primary self storage facilities dotted the country, with 23,075 of those facilities added between 2000 and 2006. Renting what one needs will stop some of that “stuff” from piling up, which will consequently save space, time and the cost of storing belongings.

Renting Helps the Environment

Every time something is purchased, there is considerable waste – manufacturing, distribution and packaging have a serious and negative impact on the environment. According to The Earth Group, 30 percent of landfill waste is created by plastic and paper bag packaging. Renting re-uses products as opposed to over-consuming products unnecessarily. The less “stuff” being made is better for our planet which is better for all of us.

RentCharlie.com was created in order to save money, space and the environment. With so many general search engines on the Internet today, niche search engines are providing better and more specific information to those who need it. Given that the North American rental market is a $39 billion industry, the creators of RentCharlie.com felt a niche search engine was appropriate. Their vision was to launch a search engine to provide reliable and accurate search results, making it easier for people, businesses and rental companies to connect with one another.

About RentCharlie.com

In June of 2009, RentCharlie.com went live and the next generation rental tool was made available to the public. Involvement from some of the biggest names in the rental industry, like Home Depot, United Rentals, Budge Rent-A-Car and The Cat Rental Store, along with 1000’s of other rental companies, property managers and individuals have helped make RentCharlie.com the premier destination for rental seekers and the largest rental search engine in North America, with over 1,000,000 rental products. Listing rentals on RentCharlie.com is 100 percent free, making it the only rental search engine to provide free online advertising. Finding rentals has never been easier. Everything from hand tools and heavy equipment to wedding, party and property rentals can be found at www.RentCharlie.com

Sell On eBay In Other Countries and Rocket Your Sales

A simple yet extremely effective way of increasing your eBay sales is to sell on eBay internationally. Make sure that your items are listed on other eBay sites in a number of different countries because if you only sell on eBay UK then you are missing out on thousands of potential sales!

To sell on eBay internationally the first thing you must do is to scroll down to the International Postage section within the Sell Your Item page. Click on the drop down menu and select Flat: Same Cost To All Buyers which will show the international posting options.

Here, you can choose to post your items to Worldwide Destinations or Custom Locations. Unless you are sending very large or very small items, then you should choose Royal Mail Airmail (Small Packets). So, as an example, let us say that you have decided to sell your items on eBay to European buyers. Simply choose Custom Locations from the drop down box and tick all the boxes in column 2. Next add the postage charge for the item.

If you decide that you also want to sell to buyers in the USA, Canada, Asia, Australia and Japan but want to charge a higher postage cost, click on Offer Additional Service then choose Custom Location again, and repeat the same process as above but this time tick all the other boxes for the countries you want to sell on eBay to. You will now have two postage options for your item. One for Europe which includes the UK and one for the other countries you have added.

Once you have added the extra information to your listings then eBay users in other countries will be able to view your items on their own eBay site. However there is an exception to this! Buy It Now items will not show up on eBay.com (the US site) unless buyers change their default search option to show International Listings. Some buyers will do this and others will not, so if you really want to get your listings shown on eBay.com and you are selling at a fixed price, it is wise to run a separate listing specifically from eBay.com to ensure visibility. So, just by following these few easy steps you will have already increased your listing visibility and will make more international sales.

Following on from this, you can go one step further and actually list your products individually on each eBay site in the language of the site! So, for example, if you want to list your items on eBay France, then you first need to get your listing translated in to French. There are free services that do this such as www.freetranslation.com who do also offer a paid service. Just a word of advice: the free services are not always completely accurate, so your listing could end up not making sense when translated. It is better to use a paid service to ensure your listings are correct from the start! Then simply log in to ebay.fr with your usual eBay ID and password and list your item in the usual way. It is fairly easy to find your way around the sites even though they are in a different language as most links are in the same place as on eBay UK.

The advantage of listing your items individually on foreign sites in the language of the country is that you are literally speaking their language! Although English is very widely spoken in other countries, most foreign buyers will prefer to read a listing in their own language, which in turn will entice them to buy. Ultimately, this way you will make even more sales. There are lots of countries you can sell on eBay to. Try Germany, Italy, France, USA, Australia and Canada and watch your sales triple!

How To Become An Epic Leader On The Web

Leadership is a very pervasive subject that touches on all parts of our lives, and that includes the internet - a phenomenon that some people are far more involved in than others. Are you one of those people who spend a good 4-5 hours on the internet everyday? Ever wondered how you could stop being just a visitor and create your own internet presence and start becoming a true internet leader? Well I have a few leadership styles and ideas that will hopefully inspire you to stretch out and ambitious set out to conquer the world-wide-web.

1. Search Engine Optimisation.

The leadership style that many webmasters want to achieve is DOMINANCE. By dominance, I mean completing beating the competition. There are few better ways to be seen to rank above the competition than in the SERPS. SERP stands for Search Engine Result Positions. If your website appears #1 for a common search term - not only will your site receive alot of traffic, but it will also gain credibility too as a result of this leadership technique.

SEO or search engine optimisation is a surging industry. Google ranks websites by over 100 factors of varying importance. Some factors relate to the coding and the content of the page itself, and others relate to who links to the page. This is by far the most important factor, and hence if you want to become a leader on the internet - you need to get lots of website to link to you!

2. Technorati Authority.

Technorati authority is http://Technorati.com's measure of how 'popular' your blog is. It's a statistic often worn as a badge of honour on many of the top blogs of the world. 'Top 10, Top 100 or even Top 1000, 10,000' can be something to be proud of, depending on the catergory. Technorati authority is hard to manipulate, and it's usually your content and site design that will win you points in this area of leadership on the internet.

3. Household name.

You can exert your leadership style on the internet by becoming a household name. It really is cheaper than you think. To become a household name on the internet, you can run adverts on large social networking websites for a surprisingly low cost. Ask your friends about how annoying certain pesky adverts for online dating and similar companies are, and you'll realise that nearly every facebook user in your age group knows about them.

Facebook adverts are very cheap because they received terrible click rates. However you can use this for your advantage, because you simply want your advert to be seen, and not clicked on, so by using facebook as part of your leadership style, you can give your online identity or company a big boost in reputation.

Use just a couple of these leadership styles and you'll soon see yourself as an online leader. People across the web will start to bring you up in conversation, you may even become an internet meme! You never know! Just set aside a small budget and a large amount of time, and you could soon be as famous as Huffington Post or Seth Godwin.

The 3 Most Common Mistakes You Can Make With Your Teleseminar Service

As teleseminars and webinars become more popular with entrepreneurs and business owners, a new set if issues and problems are brought into the picture with the new technology. These problems can cost the host a lot of money if they are unable to manage these issues at all during the call. This article discusses 3 important issues that can kill the effectiveness and profitability of a teleseminar and are actually quite common. It also discusses a workaround to enable the host to deliver a top notch teleseminar.

1. A teleseminar service without a backup number or phone redundancy

Have you ever been on a teleseminar that was going great, and all of a sudden, you got kicked off, or the hosts got kicked off and the teleseminar ended? That is usually due to problems at the phone company. Sometimes if there is a system overload, the service fails and kills the call. This is especially troublesome when it is difficult to reconnect. A good teleseminar service will have a backup number, or some kind of system redundancy so when there is a hiccup in the system, the call doesn't go down and interfere with the teleseminar.

2. There is no room for the hosts of the teleseminar

With popular teleseminars that have been marketed well, the lines are usually full. This can be a double edge sword because if the call is full, and one of the hosts or moderators is a bit late calling in, they can't get in because there is no line available for them. This is especially problematic if the host gets dropped from the call and can't call back in because the conference lines are full! Using a service that has a separate count for the hosts and the participants is a solution around this problem. That way the host doesn't have to worry about a full call, and can be more flexible with when their presenters call in.

3. Unable to easily mute the participants

With large teleconference calls, there is a good chance that there will be someone on the call with a lot of background noise that will be very distracting to the rest of the participants. It is important that the moderator be able to easily mute the participants when the hosts are presenting their topic. A professional teleconference service will allow you to not only mute all of the callers at once, but also individual callers as well so callers can participate when needed, but noisy callers are still muted and not disturbing the teleconference.

Teleseminars are a very powerful and profitable way to promote your product or service. Unfortunately you are at the mercy of the technology, so it is important to use a service that won't cause you to lose profits because it breaks down, or interferes with the quality of the presentation. Fortunately, the technology today has evolved to overcome these problems effectively and is also affordable. You no longer have to spend thousands of dollars on this kind of technology that will give you the results you are seeking, but you have to know where to look. There are very few services out there that have the features and are affordable as well.

5 Common Mistakes New eBay Sellers Make

New eBay sellers sometimes make mistakes when starting out on eBay. Here are the five most common mistakes and how to avoid them.

Poor Auction Title.

Most new sellers create an auction that is selling a good product but they fail to make sales because they have a poor auction title. Having a good auction title is crucial as this is the thing most potential buyers are going to see before anything else. To improve your eBay auction title you should; use as many of the available 55 characters as possible, use keywords that relate to your product and try to make your eBay auction title as "to the point" as possible.

Incorrect Item Description.

Many new eBay sellers also fail to write a correct item description. If the item description does not accurately match the product buyers who have received the item will see you as a "liar" and will most likely leave a negative feedback comment and never buy form you again, also the negative feedback will deter other potential buyers. To create a good item descriptions simply describe the product accurately giving as much information about the product as possible without waffling on.

Poor Listing Appearance.

Your eBay auction listing is the thing that will sell your product. You must be careful when changing the appearance of the listing. Be careful not to make it so the text is hard to read by putting a background of a similar colour on the listing. If the potential buyer cannot read your listing properly they will simply look elsewhere. Try to use contrasting colours so that the text is easy to read. For example a yellow background with blue text will make the text very easy to read.

Not Using Pictures In Listings.

Everyone likes to see a picture of what they are buying, for example if you are selling an item of clothing and you do not have an image how on earth is the buyer supposed to know whether the item of clothing looks good or not. Even an image that is low detail is better than no image at all. You can put one image on your listing for free and add extras for a few cents each. So if you can try to have a few images perhaps form different angles.

Charging Excessive Posting.

Another huge mistake many new eBay sellers make is charging an overly large amount of posting they think by selling an item for 99cents but having the postage cost at $5 will make them more money. But in truth if they see that they are basically paying $5.99 for an item worth 99cents they will just look elsewhere.
